Tikri Border (Delhi), January 16, 2021: A large number of farmers, who are protesting at the borders of capital city have been feeling that the massive agitation has able to unite them. The majority of farmers feel that the politicians used to divide them following which they made their relations bitter with their own village/city/state residents. The farmers of Kisan Morcha claimed that the agitation turned out to be a great for them as it produced several good outputs.
Jasbir Singh (51), a resident of Machhiwara
Sahib in Ludhiana said,"We already achieved a lot from this agitation despite our main demands are yet to met. The love, respect and inspiration we are getting from here are more than we were getting at our villages."
Gurdhiyan Singh (48), a resident of Mehta village in Bathinda said, "Although the rulers of the country have made the situation worst for the farmers that they are bound to sleep on the roads but the good thing is that we learnt the power of integrity through this protest."
Surinder Singh (27), a resident of Bhadaur village in Barnala said, "The environment around us is like that we are living in our own state as the sites of Delhi borders become second Punjab for each protester. We have made the environment more familiar here as we gained a lot of relations with the people of Haryana and Rajasthan as well." He added, "We, the people of Punjab were holding grudge with the neighborers over petty issues. The politics has done nothing other than dividing us. But, now the people are awakening and soon the power will be in their hands."
