Lalru SHO Inspector Sukhbir Singh informed that the three suspects were nabbed on Thursday during the patrolling and checking by the police because of the local body’s elections here.
Mohammad Adib was nabbed by the cops when he was walking towards Lalru from Alamgir. On suspicion, the cops stopped him and on frisking, they recovered a countrymade .32 revolver along with five live cartridges and an empty cartridge from his possession. “The motive of the suspect was to spread terror in the elections among the people. A case has been registered against him under Sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at the Lalru police station.
In the second case, Vikas and Khagpati were nabbed by the police during patrolling near railway station link road in Lalru.
