Chandigarh admn issues new guidelines to clubs, hotels, restaurants and bars
Chandigarh.16 March 2021:
In wake of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, the Chandigarh administration issued various guidelines to the clubs, restaurants, bars, clubs and hotels of the city. In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ruchi Singh Bedi, HCS, SDM (East), Chandigarh and Gurmukh Singh, DSP (East) with all the restaurants/bars/clubs/hotels of Sector 26, Sector 7 and Industrial Area.
During the meeting, the following instructions were given to the owners:
1. Ensure social distancing and wearing of masks.
2. Allow 50 per cent of the seating capacity in the hotels.
3. Follow the norms for noise pollution strictly.
4. Temperature check and proper sanitation of the customers.
5. Avoid calling any artist without the permission of the Chandigarh Administration.
6. Prohibition on sale of hookas.
All were strictly directed to follow the guidelines issued by the Chandigarh Administration in a bid to control the spread of coronavirus infection.
Dogra from Noise Pollution Department also attended this meeting. He educated all the club representatives to maintain a specific audio pitch inside the clubs.
