ADC Jalandhar reviews preparedness in Covid care hospital to tackle the third wave
Directs officials to boost infrastructure in level-II and level-III facilities
Jalandhar, March 18, 2021: With an aim to review the preparedness to tackle the third wave of the pandemic, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today visited the Covid care facility at Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Civil Hospital, Jalandhar.
The ADC while holding a meeting with the health officials asked them to boost up their current infrastructure at the Covid care centre so that a maximum number of cases could be dealt in the wake of increasing caseload. Mr. Sarangal expressed satisfaction over the current arrangements and beds capacity in the civil hospital, however, he directed officials to scale up their preparedness to tackle any kind of situation arising out of the resurgence.
He further asked officials to conduct special visits to private level-2 facilities to check the functionality of such facilities so that people don’t face problems during the peak period. The ADC further told officials to prepare a report regarding issues, if any, pertaining to high-ups to augment the current infrastructure so that timely action could be initiated upon it. He reiterated that the district administration was duty-bound to serve people in these trying times and no stone would be left unturned to provide best of the healthcare facilities to people during the pandemic.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Civil Surgeon Dr. Balwant Singh, Medical Superintendent Dr. Parminder Kaur, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Dr. Ashoke, Dr. Paramjit, Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Dr. Gurmeet Lal, and officials of the health department.
