KMSC blocked roads and railway track at 15 places in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 26, 2021: On-call from Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) for Bandh call for March 26, on Friday, the Kissan Mazdoor Sanghrsh Committee – KMSC blocked the railway track near Basti TankanWali. The Bandh Call from 6 am t 6 pm was announced.
Farmers have been protesting at the different border of Delhi since November last year against the three newly enacted farm laws -- Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
It was a complete bandh in Feroepur. All the main roads and crossings at around 15 places including roads and railway tracks, were blocked by the farmers-laborers – shaheed Udham Singh chowk, Octroi post no.7, Mallanwala, Makhu Bengali Pul, causing inconvenience to the public.
Punjab Federation of Arthia Association has also announced to support the call by Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a front of protesting farmer unions –for Bandh on March 26.
Condemning the Modi government attitude in favour of corporate houses, Satnam Singh Pannu, State President, Ranjit Singh Thatha and others said, the Central government without any loss of time to withdraw the three farm bills, electricity bill and Pollution Act 2020 and ensure the guaranteed law for the purchase of 23 crops besides cancellation of false cases against the farmers.
They said, our protest will continue till 6 pm as earlier announced by SKM. It is a sort of pressure on the Modi government. Our protests, from time to time, will continue till the next elections, till the repealing of three farm laws.
RPF and police were deployed at the blocked points to avoid any untoward incident
