Chandigarh to organize Tika Utsav on PM’s appeal to boost vaccination
Chandigarh, April 10, 2021:
PM Modi has appealed to all the States and UTs to organize “Tika Utsav” or Vaccine festival from April 11 to April 14 to vaccinate as many as eligible people as possible against the Coronavirus.
Chandigarh Health Department will be organising “Tika Utsav” as desired and expanded the Vaccination drive by making two new CVC at Health and Wellness Center, Sector -20 and HWC Darua. Also, mobile Vaccination teams have been formed and will be functional tomorrow at bar room Punjab and Haryana High court and Satsang hall sector 27 D.
Further with the extension of COVID -19 Vaccinations to all citizens aged 45 years and above as instructed by MoHFW COVID-19 Vaccination sessions may now be organized at Workplace (both Public & Private) which are having 100 or more eligible and willing beneficiaries.
Relevant Employers/ Head of Offices can write to office of DC/MC/DHS Chandigarh for workplace Vaccination of all employees aged 45 years or more.
Organizing Vaccination at Work Place will not only be convenient to the Staff at Workplace but will also help to avoid travel and hence reducing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 virus.
Nodal officers of respective offices along with health department will ensure all aspects of Vaccination at workplace with strict adherence to protocol/ guidelines of MoHFW.
Chandigarh administration also clarified that all vaccination centres will remain open on all Sundays and gazetted holidays in month of April.
