Capt Amarinder breaks his silence on Navjot Singh Sidhu
Chandigarh, April 27, 2021: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder on Tuesday broke silence on senior Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu who recently has been quite vocal on the Kotkapura firing case and targeting state government.
In an interview with the leading TV news channel Zee News, Punjab CM said that the way Sidhu has been constantly targeting him and the government in Punjab, it seems like he is gearing up for leaving Congress party fold to join another party.
He also cleared the speculation of party appointing Sidhu as the head of Congress party in Punjab.
"Why should Navjot Singh Sidhu be made the head of Punjab Congress when Sunil Jakhar who is the current head is doing good work," CM said.
On the alarming rise of COVID-19 cases in Punjab, Captain Amarinder said that while he is ready to deal with every situation of Corona, the Narendra Modi-led central government is not cooperating.
"Panjab has only 22 days of vaccine left. Our quota of oxygen is also high but getting less as per requirement," he said.
On the farmers still holding Morcha at Delhi borders amidst rise in Corona case, Capt advised they should get COVID vaccine jab.
