Chandigarh, May 13, 2021:
The Personnel Department of the Punjab government on Thursday issued an order regarding fresh instructions for the presence of staff in government offices in view of the COVID crisis in the state.
As per the order, it is directed that all the departments/boards/corporations falling under state will have to work with 50 percent staff from now onwards. For this, each department will have to categorize the total staff into two groups. The two groups will work on weekly rotation. It is also mandatory for the staff members, working from home (e-office), to always remain present on phone.
It is also stated in the order that the condition of 50 percent staff will not be applicable on departments, which are already working with 50 percent or lesser staff.
