Mohali, May 25, 2021: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Khattar interacted in Punjabi with the Punjabi during his visit and spoke on COVID-19 and farmers protest.
While interacting with media, he said that he came here for a health check-up.
On the existing COVID-19 situation in Haryana state, Khattar said that the state is witnessing decline in the number of COVID-19 cases.
“There has been lot of improvement in past few days. Where there were 1. 16 lakhs active COVID cases in the state, it has now come down to 35,000. Even the number of COVID positive cases that were being witnessed daily have also declined from around 16,000 to 3,000 daily,” Khattar.
Adding the government in the state has been successfully in tackling raging COVID-19, he assured that Haryana is prepared to handle such situation incase they occur in future. “We have already received medicines for Black Fungus from the government,” he added.
Khattar further informed that the state government has constituted teams to cater to the COVID-19 situation in the rural areas. The senior BJP leader also wished speedy recovery of track Legend Milkha Singh who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been admitted to the hospital.
On the ongoing Kisan Morcha, Khattar said that the protest has continued way too long and should have been stop citing the raging COVID-19 situation in the country. He informed that Haryana government have been appealing farmers to take COVID-19 vaccination.
