Tata Steel will continue to pay monthly salaries to family of employees who died of COVID-19

New Delhi, May 25, 2021: In this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tata Steel has again set an example for others to follow. In its social initiative of Agility With Care, the multinational steel-making company has announced that it will continue to pay monthly salary to the family of employees till the 60 years of age of the deceased employee.
Taking to Twitter, Tata Steel announced the company has taken the path of Agility with care by extending social security schemes to the family members of the employees affected by COVID19.
"Tata Steel stands together with a deep sense of loss at the sad demise of its beloved employees during this dreadful pandemic. For all the yesterdays they devoted to helping create a beautiful tomorrow, Tata Steel's best-in-class social security schemes will help ensure an honorable standard of living for their families, whereby the family will get the last drawn salary till 60 years of age of the deceased employee/ nominee along with medical benefits and housing facilities," announced the company
"In addition to this, for all its frontline employees who as part of their job, met with an unfortunate death due to COVID-1 9, the Company bears all the expenses of their children's education till graduation in India. The Company has always been a shield of steel, supporting its stakeholders at all times. This time is no different. Tata Steel family stands stoically with all its people, committed to their security and well-being," Tata Steel further announced.
