Jalandhar administration urges private hospitals to setup their own Oxygen PSA plants
Jalandhar, June 2, 2021:
District Administration has urged all private hospitals consuming more than 0.5 MT oxygen or 50 cylinders daily to establish their own Oxygen Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants to meet their current and future oxygen requirements.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the hospitals, “As experienced in the second wave, the transportation costs for liquid oxygen from eastern States can often be as much as 200% of the cost of the oxygen itself. Establishing PSA plants for hospitals would not only allow these facilities to be oxygen-independent but would also allow them to extend unhindered quality care to their patients throughout any future crisis.”
“On behalf of the district administration, I also extend my best wishes to all private hospitals that have established their own PSA plants in the last two months,” added the DC.
The administration urged them in a bid to meet any challenges in the case of a possible next wave.
