Milkha Singh’s condition better, medical parameters stable, says Director PGI
Chandigarh, June 5, 2021: The condition of Flying Sikh Milkha Singh who was admitted to the ICU in COVID hospital of Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), is better and all his medical parameters are stable, informed Dr. Jagat Ram, Director Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.
“There has been improvement in the health status of Flying Sikh Shri Milkha Singh who had been admitted to PGI’s Nehru Hospital ICU since June 3. Based on all the medical parameters today June 5, 2021, his condition has been observed better than yesterday. He is closely being monitored by the team of three doctors,” said Dr. Jagat Ram.
The former Indian sprinter had tested positive for coronavirus two weeks ago and was in isolation at his home in Chandigarh before he was admitted to the ICU on Thursday.
