Punjab lifts Saturday curfew, announces relaxation for opening shops
Chandigarh, June 7, 2021: With the active cases of COVID-19 declining in the state, Punjab government-led Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced to lift to curfew on Saturdays. The curfew will however continue on Sundays for now.
Until now, the weekend curfew on Saturday and Sunday as a part of a government initiative to curb Corona. Similarly, the state government also announced relaxation for opening shops.
“Shops can stay open till 6 PM, Private offices may function at 50%,” read Punjab government orders issued on Monday.
