Petrol pump loot in Kharar: CIA arrests one, three at large

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and local police have arrested the suspect, who along with his three accomplices had looted Rs 80,000 at gunpoint from a petrol pump in Soharan village near Kharar.
The arrested suspect has been identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Banur.
As per the police, Ravi was nabbed by the police after setting up a blockade near the bus stand of Soharan village. During his interrogation, Ravi confessed before the police that on July 4, he along with his three partners – Jaswinder Singh alias Binder, Jaspreet Singh alias Noopi, both residents of Kiratpur Sahib and Gaurav Jain, a resident of Sirsa, committed the crime.
The other three suspects are at large and will be arrested soon, said the police.
Pertinently, on last Sunday, four masked men looted Rs 80,000 at gunpoint from a petrol pump in Soharan village on Kurali Road in Kharar in the wee hours. The miscreants struck around 2.15 am on Sunday when the oil tanker reached the pump to fill the underground oil tanks.
A case was registered in this regard under Sections 307, 392, 342 and 34 of the IPC at the Sadar Kharar police station.
