Mohali lifts Night and Sunday curfew, eases most of the COVID restrictions; read details
Mohali, July 13, 2021:
Mohali District Magistrate Girish Dayalan, IAS on Tuesday ordered that there shall be no Night curfew or Sunday Curfew in the district.
Besides, all other restrictions are withdrawn except the following:
• Limit on the number of people for any gathering shall be 100 for indoors and 200 for outdoors.
• All schools shall continue to remain closed.
• Colleges, Coaching centres and all other institutions of higher learning shall be allowed to be open, subject to a certificate having been submitted that all teaching, non-teaching staff and students have been given at-least one dose of vaccination, at least 2 weeks before reopening. This certificate should be submitted to the respective SDM/ADC/DC office.
• All bars,cinema-halls, restaurants, spas, swimming-pools, coaching centres, sports complexes, gyms, malls, museums, zoos, etc shall be allowed to operate subject to all staff and visitors over 18 years of age having taken at-least one dose of vaccination. Further, all users of swimming, sports and gym facilities shall be persons of over 18 years of age who have taken at-least one dose of vaccine. It shall be the personal responsibility of the management strictly to ensure compliance of the above in letter and spirit.
However, the DM clarified that these orders shall not apply to Containment Areas operational now, where a strict perimeter control shall be enforced and movement of persons shall be prohibited, except for essential services.
