UT health department conducts house-to-house vaccination drive in bus; 442 get jab at their homes
Chandigarh, July 15, 2021:
A House-to-House survey cum vaccination drive was conducted at Dadumajra on Thursday. A mobile vaccination centre was set up in an AC bus which moved near the houses. In addition, two other centres were set up in the colony and HWC. Total 442 beneficiaries were vaccinated out of which 393 were vaccinated for the first dose.
Out of 8 people with disability, 4 were vaccinated at their homes as they were bed ridden. Also, 40 elderly people were offered pick and drop services from their homes to the centre by the Health department.
Jaswinder, an ex-army man staying alone with paraplegia, was grateful to the Health Department for this initiative as he had wanted to get vaccinated for a long time but there was no one to take him to the centre. The vaccination drive received good response and was a big success.
