Mayawati attacks Punjab CM on farmers' movement
Punjab CM's selfish politics regarding farmers' movement unfair: Mayawati
Chandigarh, July 17, 2021: Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP)Chief Kumari Mayawati on Saturday attacked Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh stating that Punjab CM's 'selfish' politics regarding farmers' movement unfair:
In a recent tweet, she slammed Congress for its selfish policy on farmers' movement.
She said that the letter written by the Congress Chief Minister of Punjab to the Prime Minister on various issues related to the farmers' movement is a conspiracy to defame the farmers' movement, who are sacrificing their lives to repeal three agricultural laws.
"It is unfair to do selfish politics by Congress under its guise. It is not wrong to be serious about the challenges being faced by the government of the border state of Punjab and seek the cooperation of the Centre but under the guise of this, the public is understanding the wrong mentality of the Congress to malign the peasant movement and to do selfish politics. Congress is not going to gain any benefit by doing such selfish politics," she said.
It is worth mentioning that SAD and BSP have formed alliance for the 2022 Punjab Assembly polls.
