I joined BJP for farmers, gave up Canadian citizenship for the love of Punjab, says Amanjot Ramoowalia
Chandigarh, August 17, 2021: Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia, daughter of senior SAD leader Balwant Singh Ramoowalia who recently joined BJP said she joined the party aiming to becoming a bridge between the Narendra Modi led government and farmers and end the existing deadlock. She said that she gave up her Canadian citizenship which is the dream of 95 % people in state for the love of Punjab.
Two weeks ago, Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia popularly known as Bibi Ramoowalia joined BJP along with five SAD leaders from Punjab.
“Being daughter of Punjab I have always done serious politics for the benefit of humanity, for last one year our Kisan brother's & sisters have been demonstrating on roads, since that time I have been seriously thinking of how to contribute help resolve this deadlock between govt. and farmers I had two choices one was to go and sit along with farmers and second was to join B.J.P and try to become bridge between government and farmers and try to resolve this issue so that armers can go back to their homes and resume their normal life, for this purpose I met agriculture minister and requested him to sit with farmers and resolve the issue at the earliest,” said Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia.
Praising PM Modi, she said that she is impressed by party idealogy and the respect Narendra Modi has given to Sikh Gurus.
“The party celebrated 350th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh, internationally celebrated 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev along with the opening corridor to Shri Kartapur Sahib. The present BJP government also deleted names of 331 NRI Sikhs from blacklist. Its BJP government that put people like Sajjan Kumar behind bars who were responsible for 1984 Sikh Genocide,” she added.
“Punjab is land of Guru's & Saint's, we Hindus & Sikhs have been living peacefully for centuries like brothers, I promise to work hard for welfare of all Punjabi's. Jai Hind, Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” she added.
