Modi Govt should repeal anti-farmer laws immediately: Preneet Kaur
Preneet Kaur Kickstarts Construction of 8.07 km Long Road from Nabha-Malerkotla Road to Udha via Paharpur
Patiala, September 5, 2021: Former Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Member of Parliament from Patiala, Preneet Kaur Kickstarted construction of 8.07 KM long road worth Rs 6.55 crore connecting Nabha-Malerkotla road to Udha via Paharpur, today, in the presence of MLA Nabha and Cabinet Minister Punjab, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot.
Apart from this, MP, Mrs. Preneet Kaur also inaugurated the newly constructed one km long road stretch worth Rs 15 lakh in village Dhingi, besides newly constructed marriage palace come up for Rs 50 lakh under MGNREGA.
She also dedicated the renovated village pond that has been rejuvenated by Hindustan Unilever Ltd with the help of NGO Akhil Bharti Gramin Uthan Samiti, to the villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, Preneet said that the Modi Government should immediately accept the legitimate demands of the farmers of repealing of three anti-farmer laws related to agriculture.
She also said that the farmers did not belong to any particular party but had been protesting for the last several months for their legitimate demands.
Preneet Kaur reiterated that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh had stood by the farmers from the very beginning and was providing financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh and other assistance in the shape of jobs, to the families of the farmers who have sacrificed themselves for the common cause of farmers.
She further said that the road from Nabha-Malerkotla Road (MDR-32) to Nabha Bir-Dosanjh Road connecting Udha Via Kaul, Chaudhary Majra is a very important road of Nabha constituency.
A bridge would also be constructed over it at a cost of about Rs. 2 crores. The construction of this road would be of great benefit to the surrounding 40 villages.
Minister for Forests, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Affairs, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot while welcoming Preneet Kaur, thanked the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and the Member of Parliament for showing their generosity in providing funds for the development of the Nabha constituency.
