Sacrilege case probe team to leave for Sunaria Jail on Nov 8 to quiz Ram Rahim
Chandigarh, November 7, 2021:
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Punjab Police will leave for Sunaria Jail in Rohtak on Monday to question Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the sacrilege case.
As per the information, the SIT led by Ludhiana IGP SPS Parmar will leave for Rohtak on early morning of Tuesday and all the members will gather at Eagle Motel in Rajpura at around 5 am. From there, the team will leave for Sunaria Jail, where Ram Rahim is lodged. The other members of the SIT are SSP Batala Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar, DSP Lakhveer Singh and Inspector Dalbir Singh.
According to the sources, the SIT has prepared a list of around 50 questions that will be asked from Ram Rahim.
Notably, Punjab Police has so far arrested six Dera supporters in the sacrilege case. Recently, Punjab and Haryana High Court had allowed the SIT to visit Sunaria jail in Rohtak for interrogating Ram Rahim in a sacrilege case of Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village of 2015.
