Medical Service Centre congratulates uncompromising farmers on victory
Ferozepur/Delhi, November 20, 2021: Prof. Dr. Vinayak Nerlikar, President, & Dr. Bijnan K Bera, General Secretary, Medical Service Centre, socio-medical organization of the country, conducting Medical Base Camps at the Delhi Borders over last 12 months to serve and support the ongoing Kisan Andolan congratulated the uncompromising farmers and people of the country.
Dr.Nerlikar said, the outright anti-people policies that the present BJP-led Central Government has been finally unmasked by our valiant farmers, supported by our toiling masses. The ruling forces had to submit and bend low to this uncompromising struggle of the peasants of our great land, and accept their most justful demands. We are proud that we stood strongly with the farmers from the very beginning. Lessons of this victory will help us to build up pro-people health movement against privatization and corporatization of health where support and cooperation of the peasants and people at large will be very much needed.
We similarly stood actively in the past with the struggling peasants of Singur-Nandigram in Bengal who also achieved their just demands, he added.
We strongly feel that this is a great victory of a movement that will find place in the annals of history of democratic movements of the world. This is another great lesson for all the exploited and oppressed people that only a long-lasting movement of undaunted, uncompromising hard-working people can defeat all sorts of anti-people conspiratorial schemes of the ruling forces and stooges of the multinationals, said Dr.Nerlikar adding that we also congratulate all medical & health care professionals and people from other walks of life who stood with us by the struggling peasants through the harshest Covid waves suffering great losses.
We salute all the martyrs of the #FarmersProtest in the fight against injustice in this era of commercialization, and hail the struggling peasants, working people and health care providers' unity, said Dr. Ansuman Mitra, In-charge, MSC Medical Base Camps, Delhi Borders.
