Amritsar, January 6, 2022:
Dal Khalsa on Thursday said that by forcing PM Narendra Modi to go back to Delhi, the sons of the soil have made it crystal clear that Punjab rejects BJP Hindu Rashtra agenda and it's divisive politics of Hindutva.
Addressing the press conference at the party office, the party leaders said PM Narendra Modi was complaining that his cavalcade was stuck for 20 mins at Ferozepur flyover due to farmers' protest.
Calling it not a big issue, they said Modi needs to remember that these very farmers remain stuck at Delhi borders for one year due to his ego and stubbornness in repealing three black laws.
It was really concerning that Hindutva goons were threatening Sikhs on social media of yet Genocide similar to 1984 after PM Modi has been “humiliated” by failing to address a rally at Ferozpur. The leaders urged the international community to monitor the threatening tone and design of Modi Bhagat’s as they were being patronized by present day rulers.
Strongly reacting to talks of imposing President rule in Punjab by Captain Amrinder Singh, Kanwar Pal Singh said this injustice to Punjab isn’t new to its people. He said Punjab has faced President rule for several years on different occasions in the past. For us, there’s no difference between the regime under the President or an elected authoritarian person, he said and added that in case, BJP rulers want to test the fighting spirit of Punjab once again, they would meet with the same resistance as the Congress regime faced in the past.
Dal Khalsa spokesman Paramjit Singh Mand said that the Punjab former CM Capt Amarinder Singh and Sanyukat Akali Dal head Sukhdev Singh dhindsa has become a new pawns in the hands of Hindutva masters, who wants to make inroads into Punjab by using these two Sikh faces as their mask.
The organization believes that earlier it was Parkash Badal who played the role of Delhi’s “yes man” in Punjab.
Paramjit Singh Tanda, general secretary of the party said the AAP is the carbon copy of the BJP. Using patriotism as a cloak for political gains is BJP mantra, and the AAP did the same by taking out Tiranga March and Peace March in Jalandhar and patiala to hoodwink the voters.
Clearing the dichotomy that BJP represents hard Hindutva face whereas AAP is face of soft Hindutva, the Dal Khalsa leader said there exists no such difference. Hindutva is Hindutva and both BJP and AAP are two sides of the same coin.
The organization announced the holding of a conference on 16 in Amritsar to deliberate on burning issues that confront Panth and Punjab and to formulate strategy to counter and contest those challenges. It also decided to hold a statewide protest on Indian republic day. The issues of the protest on Jan 26, they listed includes attempts by the BJP to saffronize the environment of the state, Union government not releasing Sikh political prisoners who have completed their jail term, framing of Sikh youth under UAPA and sacrilege bid by non-state actors in Darbar Sahib in Dec.
SYP leader Gurnam Singh said detention of nine Sikh prisoners beyond the sentence period exposes the bias of the Indian state towards Sikhs.
