Of total 13066 complaints received on cVigil Mobile App, 9413 resolved in 100 minutes: CEO Dr Raju

Chandigarh, February 14, 2022: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Punjab Dr. S Karuna Raju today informed that they have received a total of 13066 complaints on cVigil app since the Model Code of Conduct came into force, of which, 9413 complaints have been resolved in less than 100 minutes. Our teams have handled these complaints an average handling time of 47 minutes 51 seconds and accuracy rates of 93 percent, he added.
Apart from this, Dr. Raju said that ECI has received 551 complaints of which 500 have been disposed-off, while 51 are under process. Similarly, 390 complaints have been received on the National Grievances Redressal Portal (NGRS) of which 362 were disposed-off, while, 28 are under process, he added.
He said that 2411 complaints were received through the call center of which 2278 have been resolved, while, one defaulted and 133 are under process.
Similarly, 2197 complaints have been received through other sources of which 2185 were resolved, while 12 are under process.
Meanwhile, any citizen can complain about the Mobile App cVIGIL, which provides time-stamped, evidence-based proof of the Model Code of Conduct / Expenditure Violation, having live photo/video with auto location data. Flying Squads then investigate the matter and the Returning Officer decides within 100 minutes.
