Jalandhar, November 24, 2022:
As the curtains of the seventh edition of the Spark career guidance fest- the biggest career counseling fair of Jalandhar district- fell after two days, more than 10,000 students from the various schools from across the district benefitted from the experts’ opinion given on various subjects in this mega fest held at the local Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.
The Jalandhar Administration led by Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh made elaborate arrangements to make this event a mega success with the Deputy Commissioner himself leading from the front-foot overseeing all the preparations from beginning. All arrangements be it transportation of students, setting up stalls, and lectures by experts were executed in a smooth and hassle-free manner which received accolades from people from different walks of society.
The two days mega fest observed huge enthusiasm amongst the students for career related guidance as back to back career guidance sessions were well attended by the students. Full of vigor and youthful ideas the students also had a lot of queries from the experts, which truly reflected the keen interest shown by the students in this event. The sessions by the officers of the Defence forces, IAS and IPS officers and others witnessed maximum participation of the students.
The stalls installed by the various universities, different colleges of the cities, Regional Centre of the Guru Nanak Dev University and others also drew tremendous response from the students. Another centre of attraction was the stalls installed by the Defence forces, where their literature was in huge demand by the students. The students were also attracted towards the weapons displayed by the Border Security Force thereby giving them a right opportunity to get acquainted to their operations.
The efforts of the district administration to connect the students with their glorious cultural roots also drew lot of applaud from the students and teachers. Malwai Gidha, Rajasthani Folk Dance, Gidha and others events mesmerized the gathering and was commended by one and all. The food stalls in the precincts of the stadium was another centre of attraction for everyone.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Jaspreet Singh thanked all the officers/ officials for putting in massive efforts to make this event a huge success. He complimented the Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Mahajan , Sub Divisional Magistrates Dr. Jai Inder and Balbir Raj Singh, Assistant Commissioners Pankaj Bansal, officers of the Education department, and others for working tirelessly to make this event a successful one.
