Under Food Safety on Wheels scheme, MLA Bhullar flags off Food Safety Van
Ferozepur, February 1, 2023: In order to protect people from adulterated and low-grade food items, the Punjab government has started 7 mobile food testing vans in the entire state under the Food Safety on Wheels scheme. Accordingly, MLA Ferozepur Urban Ranbir Singh Bhullar flagged off the food safety van from the district administration complex. The team of health department will check the food items for only Rs.50.
On this occasion MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar said that the common people of Ferozepur zone can get all the materials used for food and drink in their homes checked. He said that this van will go to about 4 districts and educate the common people about quality food items and will also check the food items.
MLA S. Bhullar appealed to the people to take maximum benefit from this initiative taken by the government. He said that this testing van will go to the villages and cities of Ferozepur district for one month and will give a report within one hour.
Giving more information about this, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Pal said that this van will also visit Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib and Faridkot districts along with Ferozepur. He said that through this van only for Rs 50 household food items such as salt, spices, milk and products made from milk can be checked about the purity and quality of which the report will be given on the spot.
