Ferozepur, February 2, 2023: There are two important and burning issues in Punjab - one is illegal mining and drugs. While the mining issue has been resolved by the High Court, by giving certain directions to the government to follow and for drugs, which is still existing, can be solved in coordination with all the security agencies, for which I am visiting the border districts to have interaction with the Sarpanch of border villages to have feedback and seek their cooperation. I am happy the all the 107 Panchayats have passed resolution to stand in fight against drugs.
These views were expressed by Punjab Governor, Banwari Lal Purohit, during his visit to Ferozepur today.
It's a question of national security and I will be the happiest man when Punjab will be a drug-free State, said Punjab Governor, adding "Jagte Rho, Desh Ki Suraksha Ke Liye".
