The festival of Teej was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fanfare at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab. Program coordinator Prof. Ratan Kaur informed that the cultural diversity of India was seen in this program which was a special feature of this program. The presentations of Punjabi cultural heritage were appreciable on this occasion. The students presented the famous folk dances of their state, jhumar, gidha, bhangra, song, dance, modeling etc. in the colorful program and on this occasion henna application, costume, modeling and other cultural competitions were organized. Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura Chancellor Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab and Advisor NSDC Government of India attended as Chief Guest along with Dr. Parvinder Kaur Project Coordinator Punjab Skill Development Mission (Guest of Honour) and inaugurated the festival. LTSU Vice Chancellor Dr AS Chawla welcomed them. Dr. Kaura gave information about the importance of the festival and congratulated all the students to connect with their culture and spread it, which is a part of Punjabi culture. All the students looked beautiful in Punjabi attire. University teachers also entertained the students by singing and dancing. Gurpreet Kaur, Divjot Kaur, Chetna, in the mehndi and Tamanna Uppal in bolian competition, Ashish Raj and Amrit was adjudged as best performers,Sandeep Kaur was selected Miss Teej, Neha Miss Punjaban, Rishita Miss Talented, Khushboo Giddha Queen . Chief Guest Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor LTSU and Dr. Parvinder Kaur awarded the participating and winning students with medals and appreciated their performance and blessed them with success in life. On this occasion Prof BS Satyal Registrar, SS Bajwa Joint Registrar, Dr NS Gill, Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Dr S Dhami, Engg. Amandeep Singh, Mandeep Atwal, Dr Navneet, (All Deans) all staff and teachers and students were present.on the occasion.
