PM Modi's policies taking India to new heights - Som Prakash
Calls upon all to get benefited through Vishwakarma Yojna, Drone Didi scheme

Phagwara, December 10, 2023: Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash said that the policies of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to empower every citizen of the country through various beneficial schemes launched by the Central Government are taking the country to new heights.
He said the Prime Minister's vision to make India a developed country is leading in the right direction to make the Nation a Vishwa Guru.
The Minister said that the PM's thinking and policies for the next 25 years of Amrit Kal are bound to enhance the quality of life of our citizens. Amrit Kal is the ongoing period of 25 years after which India will celebrate 100 years of Independence in 2047.
He said the Nation has become fifth largest economy and "time is not far when we will become the third largest economy in the world under the leadership of the Prime Minister", said he.
The Minister was in village Navi Abadi Narang Shahpur in Phagwara of Kapurthala district, today to interact with people assembled at the venue of Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra. He interacted with various beneficiaries of National Rural Livelihood Mission, Ujjawla Yojna, Mudra Yojna and Self Help Groups and told them to make others also aware of these central government schemes.
The beneficiaries narrated their stories of success under 'Meri Kahani Meri Zubani' component of the Sankalp Yatra. Later, he visited village Sangowal in Block Dhilwan also to be part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra.
The Yatra, comprising Vans, is going on in all the districts of Punjab including Kapurthala spreading awareness of various flagship schemes of the central government and providing on the spot benefits to eligibles.
A van having an LED Screen showing PM's recorded speech on overall progress in the country and stories of beneficiaries, awareness material as pamphlets, calenders and small books, was there at the venue.
Som Parkash said that collective participation of the countrymen is required in making India a developed nation. He called upon all to take benefits of the schemes and aware others also to uplift their own and others' quality of life. He administered the pledge of Viksit Bharat to all those present on the occasion.
He also presented on the spot gas connections to beneficiaries of Ujjawla Scheme at both the venues.
In Punjab, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has made remarkable strides in transforming lives and communities. As of now, the Yatra has covered about 1500 Gram Panchayats (GPs) having over 1.35 lakh people participation. Interestingly the number of women is more than men in attending the Viksit Bharat programme which is empowering individuals from all walks of life.
Som Parkash advocated to take benefits of newly launched Vishwakarma Yojna through which loans are being given to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools.
He also called upon farmers Drone scheme to spray nano fertilizers in fields in balanced proportion in much less money as compared to old practice. He said this scheme is also meant to make women self empowered through women self help groups.
