BSF apprehends two persons with narcotics recovery near Int’l border area
Ferozepur, March 27, 2024: On Tuesday, BSF received specific information from its intelligence setup regarding the suspicious movement of two individuals carrying contraband items. Immediately, BSF naka parties were deployed on the suspected routes in the border area of the Ferozpur district.
Subsequently, at approximately 03:00 PM on 26th March, a BSF naka party apprehended two drug peddlers from Hazara Singh Wala village, Mamdot police station, Ferozpur district. During frisking, 22 grams of heroin and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
Upon preliminary questioning, the suspects disclosed that they had received the seized heroin consignment from an individual residing in Peer Smile Khan Basti, Sukna, Ferozpur district.
The BSF intelligence setup conducted thorough investigations, including reviewing CCTV footage of the suspects' movements. A joint raid with Punjab Police was carried out at the suspected drug dealer's residence in Peer Smile Khan Basti. Although the drug dealer was found to be absconding & no suspicious items were discovered during the search. Both drug peddlers were handed over to the Punjab Police in Mamdot, Ferozpur district.
