Amit Shah was in Ludhiana to address an election meeting in support of Bittu. Sunil Jakhar state BJP president also spoke on the occasion and requested the people of Ludhiana to vote for Bittu to strengthen the hands of BJP.
Bittu said that India needed an iron man like Amit Shah and he eradicated terrorism from the country. He said that if all the ideas of Amit Shah were implemented in Punjab, it would regain its lost glory.

Bittu said that Punjab was suffering from all the ills because the Congress and AAP had looted the state's wealth. Ludhiana, also known as Manchester of India was contributing 60 percent of the state's revenue but instead of giving facilities to local industry and people, the state imposed heavy taxes to bleed the industrial town.
Bittu told Amit Shah that gangsters were roaming around freely and demanding ransom from industrialists.
He said that there was no security for people and the law and order situation was worse in the state. The city is reeling under corruption, pollution, and traffic
problems but the AAP government is not paying any heed to these issues.
He said that the flow of drugs from across the border is ruining the youth of the state. The rail tracks are closed, and roads are blocked, causing losses to industry in Ludhiana.
Bittu demanded today Ludhiana needs Metro, PGI/ AIIMS, an industry cluster, a Convention cum exhibition center, international connectivity, a cargo terminal, an International sports hub, and trade through the Wagah border.
Bittu said that this was the first time that the BJP was contesting on all Lok Sabha seats alone and the response of people was overwhelming.
He said that PM Narender Modi is set to become the Prime Minister for a third term and BJP had already crossed the majority mark in the states of Madhya Pradesh, UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan. Now it is the turn of Punjab to contribute to the victory of Narender Modi.
Bittu said that Punjab was the number one state of the country but the misrule of the last 15-20 years had pushed the state behind other states.
He said that due to BJP's rule in UP and Bihar, these states superseded Punjab. He said that BJP would form the double-engine government here and Punjab would be once again the prosperous state. He said that the people of Punjab were looking for a change and looked towards the BJP to save the border state.
He appealed to vote for the BJP for development and peace. He added that his grandfather Sardar Beant Singh had also given supreme sacrifice for the development and peace in Punjab.
