Ferozepur Police intensify anti-drug efforts under 'Navekli Pehal' Campaign
Ferozepur, July 17, 2024: The Ferozepur police have intensified their efforts in the fight against drugs under the "Navekli Pehal" campaign. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Soumya Mishra highlighted the comprehensive approach being taken, which includes conducting anti-drug awareness campaigns and gathering feedback from various stakeholders by visiting 19 government OOAT centres, 7 private centres, 40 identified drug spots, and 16 villages with FIRs related to drones.
The campaign also involves direct engagement with the families of victims and patients undergoing treatment, with special attention given to the family members of women affected by drug abuse. To enhance the campaign's effectiveness, the police have collaborated with teams from government and private hospital de-addiction centres, psychologists, counsellors, and the Border Security Force (BSF).
SSP Mishra emphasized the importance of feedback in improving the campaign's efficiency. Feedback is collected through shared phone numbers, public meetings, and the execution of CASO (Cordoned and Search Operations) and targeted operations in critical areas.
