BJP's Joshi demands DC Mohali: Issue new electricity connections, pass drawings and arrange space for dumping ground and power grid

Mohali (Punjab), January 24, 2025: Demanding local bus service, construction of three 30-meter-wide roads already notified under the Nayagaon master plan, approval of pending building plan applications, the release of new electricity connections, immediate putting up of paver blocks on the road from PGI to Nayagaon, a place for dumping ground, and a power grid, a delegation of Nayagaon residents led by Chairman Nayagaon Ghar Bachao Manch and senior BJP Leader Vineet Joshi, along with Councilor Surinder Kaushish Babbal and District Secretary BJP Mohali Bhupinder Bhuppi, met Deputy Commissioner Mohali, Smt Ashika Jain.The delegation highlighted that nearly two lac residents face hardships due to the absence of local bus service. The only reason is the small width of the roads.
Therefore, as per the notified master plan of Nayagaon, three 30-meter-wide roads should immediately be constructed. Once constructed, only Local bus services can be started for the benefit of the residents.
Joshi apprised DC Mohali that building plans for the seventeen wards which are not part of the catchment area and are not affected by the orders of the Punjab & Haryana High Court are not being passed. They asked her to pass the building plans according to the notified zonal plans and the notified building plans of Nayagaon Municipal Council.
PGI to Nayagaon road was dug to lay sewerage pipelines, now that the pipeline laying work is complete, it should be immediately opened and made serviceable by putting up paver blocks, demanded Joshi, Babbal, and Bhupi.
The delegation requested immediate demarcation of place for the Power Grid, garbage dumping site, and inclusion of the balance area of Nadda & Karoran into Municipal Council Nayagaon.
