Two Cross-Border Narco-Terror Operatives Arrested in Zirakpur by Punjab Police
Chandigarh, June 12, 2025 – In a significant breakthrough against cross-border narco-terrorism, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), SAS Nagar, has arrested two operatives with alleged links to Pakistan-based smugglers. The accused, identified as Paraspreet Singh alias Paras and Gurwinder Singh, were apprehended from Zirakpur following actionable intelligence inputs.
During the operation, the police recovered a Glock 9mm pistol along with three magazines and 207 grams of heroin from the possession of the accused.
According to Punjab Police, Paraspreet Singh was already wanted in connection with an arms smuggling case registered in Tarn Taran district. A fresh FIR has now been registered at Police Station SSOC, SAS Nagar, and further investigations are underway to uncover the wider network of operatives involved in cross-border smuggling and terrorism.
The Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to dismantling such terror modules and ensuring the safety and security of the state.
