Golden Arrow Division blends heritage and health in border belt Yoga Week celebrations

Ferozepur, June 21, 2025: The Golden Arrow Division of the Indian Army conducted a week-long series of events in observance of International Yoga Day.
These initiatives aimed to promote health, well-being, and community spirit across Ferozepur and the vital border areas of Punjab, including villages like Khem Karan, Hussainiwala and historical sites such as Ferozepur Fort. The Yoga activities were also undertaken by Golden Arrow Mountaineers in the Dhauladhar Ranges.
The extensive program underscored the Golden Arrow Division's commitment to the holistic development of both its personnel and the local populace. Throughout the week, various yoga sessions, workshops, and demonstrations were conducted, catering to all age groups and levels of experience.
Highlights of the week-long celebrations included "Community Yoga Sessions": Open to all residents, held in various accessible locations within Ferozepur and the border villages, encouraging widespread participation. "Special Sessions at Historic Sites": Unique yoga events at significant locations such as Ferozepur Fort, blending the ancient practice with the rich heritage of the region.
"Engaging Workshops:" Educational workshops to delve into the principles of yoga, its therapeutic applications, and practical techniques for daily life and "Awareness Campaigns": Information dissemination on the benefits of yoga and healthy living were conducted throughout the week.
