Ten new Anganwadi Centres to come up in Ferozepur villages
Ferozepur, October 30, 2025: To ensure better care and nutrition for rural children, ten new Anganwadi buildings will soon be constructed in various villages of the rural constituency at a cost of approximately ₹1 crore. The initiative is being undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
During a meeting with District Development and Panchayat Officer Napinder Singh, Block Panchayat Officer (Ghall Khurd) Sarbjit Singh, Block Development Officer (Mamdot) Vipin Kumar, and District Programme Officer Richika Nanda, MLA Rajneesh Dahiya shared that several village panchayats had passed resolutions seeking new Anganwadi buildings in their respective villages.
He added that continuous development work is being carried out under MGNREGA, the Finance Commission, and Mission Rangla Punjab. Many project files are currently pending approval, and once cleared, the development works will be executed as per local demands.
MLA Dahiya informed that the new Anganwadi centres will be built in Hazara Singh Wala, Noorpur Setha, Pojo Ke Uttad, Norang Ke Sial, Nawan Purba, Chugatte Wala, Chak Gurdial Singh, Jhok Harihar, Lakha Bhedian, and Shakoor villages.
He emphasized that the Punjab Government has released special grants under Mission Rangla Punjab for rural development and assured that the pace of developmental activities will accelerate further in the coming days.
