Railways to run Reserved Special Trains between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
Ferozepur, December 11, 2025: For the convenience of passengers traveling to the popular pilgrimage destination, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of Reserved Special Trains between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
According to the official communication, Train No. 04081/04082 New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–New Delhi Reserved Special Express will run for two trips in each direction. The New Delhi–SVDK services will run on December 12 and 13, 2025, while the return trips from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will operate on December 13 and 14, 2025.
The train will consist of AC and Sleeper coaches to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the pilgrimage period.
Timings and Stoppages of Train No. 04081 (New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra) will be - Departs New Delhi at 23:45 hrs, Stops at Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi, and Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan station and Arrives at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 12:00 hrs the next day.
Similarly for Train No. 04082 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi) will be Departs SVDK at 21:20 hrs and arrives at New Delhi at 10:00 hrs next morning.
The stoppages include all major stations along the route with scheduled arrival and departure timings to facilitate smooth travel.
This reserved special service aims to cater to the surge of devotees visiting the holy shrine in the winter season, ensuring comfortable and timely travel options.
