Chandigarh, December 23, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President Aman Arora on Tuesday strongly criticised BJP Punjab for allegedly spreading panic over email-based threats, accusing the party of creating an atmosphere of fear that weakens national unity.
Reacting to a post shared by BJP Punjab on social media platform X, Arora said there were no incidents in Amritsar, Jalandhar, or Patiala, and asserted that projecting unverified emails as bomb threats was irresponsible and dangerous. He said such actions unnecessarily alarm the public and undermine confidence in security institutions.
“Turning mere emails into ‘bomb threats’ and sensationalising them to spread panic only serves the interests of anti-national elements. BJP Punjab should refrain from indulging in fear-based politics that directly helps the enemies of the nation,” Arora said.
The AAP Punjab President also questioned the BJP’s credibility on law and order, pointing to its own failures while in power at the Centre and in Delhi. He referred to a bomb blast near the Red Fort, stating that it occurred despite the BJP having control over national security and intelligence agencies.
“Those who failed to prevent an attack near the heart of the nation have no moral right to lecture Punjab on law and order,” he asserted.
Arora reiterated that the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government remains vigilant, proactive, and fully committed to the safety of every citizen. “AAP believes in responsible governance, not panic-mongering. Punjab is safe, and we will not allow BJP’s political tactics to disturb public peace,” he said.
