Punjab Cabinet approves Budget Estimates 2026–27; Finance Minister to present budget on March 8

Chandigarh, March 6, 2026: The Punjab Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, on Friday approved the Budget Estimates for 2026–27 and Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025–26 for presentation during the ongoing session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat in Chandigarh.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the Cabinet cleared the Supplementary Demands for Grants for the financial year 2025–26 and also approved the Budget Estimates for 2026–27, which will be presented in the Assembly by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on March 8.
The Cabinet also gave its approval to table the Audit Reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) along with the Finance and Appropriation Accounts of the Government of Punjab for the year 2024–25 in the Assembly.
