Samana (Punjab), March 21, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday launched a strong attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, alleging that corruption and poor governance have pushed the state into crisis.
Addressing a gathering at Kisan Palace in Samana, Saini said Punjab, once a leader in agriculture, industry, and defence, is now facing distress among farmers and rising concerns among youth and families.
He accused the AAP government of failing to deliver on its promises and allowing corruption to spread across the state.
Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Saini said India is progressing rapidly, but Punjab has fallen behind due to misgovernance. He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party has the vision to bring Punjab back on the path of development.
During the event, Saini inducted Prof. Mohan Lal Sharma into the Bharatiya Janata Party and assured him of full recognition within the party. He also highlighted Haryana’s initiatives, stating that farmers in the state benefit from MSP on 24 crops and timely payments, along with compensation and insurance support.
Referring to Punjab’s historical legacy, Saini paid tribute to its contribution to the nation and invoked the legacy of Banda Singh Bahadur, calling Samana a land of great historical importance.
Calling for political change, he urged people to support the BJP in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, promising that welfare schemes implemented in Haryana would also be extended to Punjab if the party comes to power.
The event was attended by several leaders, including former MP Preneet Kaur, along with party workers and local dignitaries.
