Mohali Mayor election today June 9, Sarabjit Singh son of MLA Kulwant Singh likely to be new Mayor

Mohali, June 9, 2026: Mohali Municipal Corporation will get its new Mayor today. Election for Mayor has been scheduled for 3.00 PM at MC officer.
AAP had got majority in recently held MC elections bagging 27 out of total 50 seats. Congress bagged 12 whereas SAD won on three seats, 4 Independents also won and three seats went into kitty of BJP.
Before election AAP MCs will meet at house Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh at 12.00 where AAP Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia will preside over the meeting and declare Mayor candidate besides Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
Kulwant Singh’s son and three time MC Sarabjit Singh Samana is front runner for the post whereas Sunny Ahluwalia also close to high command and 4 time Councillor Sukhdev Singh Patwari are also in fray.
