Tremors trigger panic as earthquake hits Nepal

Kathmandu (Nepal), September 26, 2025: Panic gripped parts of Nepal after tremors were felt once again on Friday afternoon. The earthquake struck the eastern district of Ramechhap, forcing people to rush out of their homes and offices into open spaces for safety.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre of Nepal, the quake occurred at 2:14 PM (IST) and measured 4.0 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter was located in the Bhatouli area of Ramechhap district, around 150 kilometers east of Kathmandu.
Fortunately, due to its mild intensity, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
It is worth noting that the same district had also experienced a 4.0 magnitude earthquake earlier this year on August 17. Given its Himalayan location, Nepal remains a highly sensitive seismic zone, frequently experiencing such tremors.
