San Ramon, California, September 25, 2025 – In a brazen daylight robbery, a large group of masked thieves reportedly stole approximately $1 million worth of jewelry from a store in San Ramon, roughly 34 miles east of San Francisco.
The incident, captured on surveillance cameras, is suspected to involve the same criminal group behind previous heists in the area.
Eyewitnesses and authorities said that around 30 individuals, dressed in black and wearing masks, used crowbars and pickaxes to break into display cases and grab jewelry.

When a security door attempted to lock them inside, the thieves reportedly fired shots and escaped unharmed.
Lt. Mike Pistello of the San Ramon Police Department stated, “When they entered, they essentially took control of the store, taking whatever was available,” according to ABC 7 News.
The store had upgraded its security system after a robbery in 2023, which caused the door to lock behind the intruders. Police suspect the heist was meticulously planned in advance, as the suspects arrived in six separate vehicles and parked in the nearby valet area, roughly 100 feet from the store. Investigators are reviewing video footage and other evidence to identify the perpetrators.
