Mark Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan  honored with WSJ 'Innovator of the Year Award'

Washington DC (US), October 30, 2025: Dr. Priscilla Chan, co-founder of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), has been named the “Innovator of the Year” by The Wall Street Journal Magazine for her groundbreaking philanthropic work in science and healthcare.
In an Instagram post, her husband, Mark Zuckerberg, publicly celebrated the achievement, writing: “Proud of my amazing wife @priscillachan for winning the WSJ Innovator of the Year award for her work in our philanthropy advancing science to cure and prevent diseases.”
Honoured at the awards ceremony held at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, Chan is recognised for steering CZI’s ambitious mission to use advanced tools like artificial intelligence, large-scale biological imaging and virtual cell modelling in tackling disease.
Reflecting on the award, Chan said she is driven by first-hand medical experience and a belief that “that type of progress is possible.”
CZI’s focus under Chan’s leadership has shifted toward supporting deep scientific innovation with the aim of “curing, preventing and managing all disease by 2100.
