Abbotsford, October 28, 2025: A Punjabi businessman was shot dead in Abbotsford by unidentified assailants.
At around 9:22 a.m., hardworking Punjabi businessman Darshan Singh Sahsi was tragically shot dead outside his home on Blue Ridge Drive in Abbotsford’s Townline area. The shocking incident has left the local community in deep grief and disbelief.
Sahsi, originally from Rajgarh village in Doraha (Punjab), was a self-made entrepreneur who ran a large clothing recycling business in Maple Ridge, B.C. His enterprise not only provided employment to many members of the local Punjabi community but also contributed significantly to the region’s recycling and sustainability efforts.
Beyond business, he was admired for his philanthropic nature and community service. Sahsi had strong ties to both Punjab and Gujarat, India, where he maintained major business interests and extended charitable support to several causes. His leadership and generosity made him a respected figure across both continents.
