Infectious diseases specialist Dr Rajendra Kapila succumbs to COVID-19 in Delhi
Chandigarh, May 6, 2021:
Dr Rajendra Kapila, a renowned doctor of Rutgers University has passed away due to COVID-19 on April 28 in Shanti Mukand Hospital in Karkardooma, Delhi. He was 81-year-old and was working in the Rutgers University for the last 50 years. Dr Kapila was specialist of infectious diseases.
Last month, Dr Rajendra Kapila had visited India along with his wife Dr Deepti Saxena Kapila. The duo came from New Jersey for a short stay here but Kapila caught virus following which he was admitted to the hospital. There, his condition became critical over the time and on April 28, he succumbed to the virus.
According to the information, Dr Kapila received his pre-medical degree from St Xavier’s College, Calcutta and medical degree from Delhi University.
