Fireworks Banned In Brampton City of Canada, City Council Gives Nod To Move

Brampton (Canada ), November 24, 2022:
City of Brampton has banned the fireworks as the motion to ban fireworks tabled by Councillor Denis Keenan has found support of the members of the committee of council. The proposal was passed by 11-0 in favor of the ban.
As per the city, they received almost 1500 complaints about fireworks so far in 2022, out of which 1000 came in during Diwali Celebrations in October.
It is reported that the city will be running a $20,000 firework campaign to educate the public about the changes made.
The amount of the fine can go up from $350 to a minimum of $500 and a penalty for the sale of fireworks will go up from $350 to $1000.
Under the new bylaw, only the film industry and the city will be allowed to get permits for the usage of fireworks in Brampton.
