Chandigarh, December 1, 2023:
Authorities in the United States have freed a twenty-year-old Indian student who had been held captive by his cousin and two other men for months without access to a washroom, severely beaten, and made to work at three homes in an event that was called "absolutely inhumane and unconscionable." The victim, whose identity was kept secret, was imprisoned in three houses in the US state of Missouri for several months.
