Bathinda, January 17, 2018: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU)
Won First prize in Mime competition at 33rd North Zone All India University Inter-University Youth Festival 'Yuva Maha Utsav' - 2017-18 held at Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed University, Mullana, Ambala, which concluded on Tuesday.
The MRSPTU also bagged third rank in Rangoli and 4th in Photography Competition during the four day event, in which 28 Universities took part.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and University Registrar Dr. Jasbir Singh Hundal congratulated the winner students and appreciated the effort of department of Sports & Youth Welfare of the university. They encouraged them to participate actively in such competitions.
In a press release issued here today, the University, Director Sports and Youth Welfare, Mr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot said that the winner University students of this mega fest will perform at National level in February 16-18, 2018 at Ranchi University, Ranchi.
Giving details, he said Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib under MRSPTU obtained 1st position in Mime and Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology, Bathinda (MRSPTU) obtained 3rd position in Rangoli by Lakshay Goyal and a consolation prize in Spot Photography by Manveer Singh.
