Fatehgarh Sahib, May 20, 2020: With the intervention of Deputy Commissioner not only the stalemate between the Revenue Patwar Union Fatehgarh Sahib and the Assistant Commissioner (G) was resolved but the four Patwaris were also promoted as Kanungo today. The Patwaris withdrew their strike and removed the black badges they were wearing and declared that all issues have been resolved.
Earlier as declared the five senior members of the district unit of Revenue Patwar Union Punjab today staged a dharna maintaining social distancing in front of Deputy Commissioner Office from 10AM to 1 PM in support of their demands and against the alleged misbehaving with their State President Mohan Singh Bhedpur by the Assistant Commissioner (G), which he denied. The other Patwaris of the district bore black badges in protest.
When the DC was informed about the dharna, she immediately called the delegation of the Revenue Patwar Union and heard their grievance and demands.
