District Administration flags off awareness Campaign vehicles about Coronavirus
Ferozepur, June 18, 2020: To raise awareness among the people about the symptoms, precautions and prevention of coronavirus, the District administration launched an awareness campaign on vehicles taking the message of Mission Fateh, which will go to each and every part of Ferozepur in rural and urban areas.
Amit Gupta, SDM, after flagging off the awareness campaign vehicles from the district hospital said in view of the increasing number of cases of coronavirus in the country, awareness is must, as there is no specific treatment for the disease yet.
The vehicle is equipped with a state-of-the-art screen, sound and mike system, through which people will be informed about the disease. He said that the vehicle will move in the district till situation normalizes.
Disclosing this here today SDM Amit Gupta said that earlier also on 14th June, 28 campaign vehicles were dispatched from Ferozepur DC Complex to spread the message of Mission Fateh across the district.
In this context, the campaign vehicles were dispatched again on Thursday. He said that Mission Fateh was launched by the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to win the ongoing war against Corona Virus.
The purpose of this mission victory is to turn the awareness campaign into a mass movement, to put wiser all the people as to how to fight with Corona by taking preventive measures such as frequent hand washing, wearing face masks, maintaining social distance, taking special care of young children and the elderly at home, downloading the Cova app and informing about the arrival of outsiders.
He said that ground-level activities under Mission Fateh were launched on June 14. The third week of activities under the third phase of Mission Fateh is underway. Earlier, Anganwadi workers and Sarpanchs had also launched door-to-door campaigns to create awareness among the people. In the next phase, similar awareness activities will be conducted by the Police Department, NGOs and Resident Welfare Societies.
